An exciting opportunity for an experienced Financial Accountant to join a leading energy company in Sydney's CBD. The role is a 12 month fixed term opportunity and will be responsible for quality financial insight and support across the business and monthly and year end reporting cycles.
Key Responsibilities:
... - Undertake various management accounting activities to deliver high-quality financial insights and support throughout the monthly and year-end reporting cycles.
- Maintain the integrity of finance systems and processes while pursuing continuous improvement initiatives.
- Provide accurate accounting and financial support for an assigned portfolio, ensuring precise accounting book records.
- Generate timely financial information and analysis, including general entries, account reconciliations, data consolidation, and variance analysis.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to support financial reporting and planning activities.
About You:
- Chartered Accountant or CPA certification preferred (or equivalent)
- 3-5 years financial accounting experience in commercial industries (high paced environment preferred)
- Strong knowledge of the management or implementation of financial processes and systems.
- Excellent communication skills to effectively engage with a diverse range of stakeholders.
- Ability to efficiently consolidate and analyze financial data from a large asset portfolio and communicate findings clearly to non-finance stakeholders.
- Ability to work autonomously and demonstrate initiative
- System proficiency - Excel & Workday is desirable
