job description

My client, a telecommunications company based in the CBD fringe is looking for a Finance Officer to assist their team on a part-time basis. Ideally, you will have advanced computer skills, will have worked in the same or similar role with the same duties involved and experience working with Xero is a must.

Duties include, but are not limited to:

  • Processing relevant bank statements and reconcile all relevant accounts
  • Debt collection phone calls to follow accounts receivables
  • Generating and processing client invoices – new and once offs
  • Journal Entry: Processing adjustments to client invoices
  • Updating CRM system, finance tasks
  • Processing payroll
  • Filling paperwork
  • Participating as a member of the administration team and performing general administration tasks as and when required
  • First level phone support for Finance queries
  • Processing payments via credit card; incoming/outgoing cheques – daily banking
  • Maintaining excellent client services
  • To perform specialised or non-routine tasks or features of the work upon request by Management team.

Characteristics / Required Attributes:

  • High organisational skills; ability to multi-task and work within a busy office environment
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Exceptional phone manner
  • Experience in Xero – required
  • Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Suite)
  • Strong administration skills
  • Demonstrated problem solving ability
  • Ability to take initiative; work autonomously and within a team environment
  • A reliable and professional work attitude
  • Experience with management support.
