Job Duties
- Team Management: Lead and manage the Finance/Accounts team, enabling the CFO to focus on strategic initiatives. Monitor key performance measures and ensure adherence to established processes and procedures.
- Monthly Reporting: Oversee end-of-month processing and closing procedures. Prepare detailed financial and management reports, including variance analysis and commentary. Ensure timely delivery of reports to the CFO.
- Annual Accounts and Taxation: Complete audit files and assist in the preparation of statutory accounts. Manage BAS, FBT, and PAYG lodgements and ensure timely tax payments.
- Budgets and Forecasting: Contribute to the preparation of annual budgets and rolling forecasts for the group.
- Capital Expenditure: Maintain the fixed assets register, manage capital expenditure applications, and ensure proper approval and allocation.
- Payroll: Support payroll processing and manage monthly payroll journals and leave provisions.
- Cashflow Management: Assist the CFO with cashflow management, including preparation of forecasts and analysis of actual versus forecasted cashflows.
Experience Needed
- Proven experience in a similar finance leadership role, preferably within a technology group or complex organizational structure.
- Strong background in financial reporting, balance sheet reconciliation, budgeting, and forecasting.
- Experience managing and improving finance processes and leading a finance team.
- Proficiency in managing statutory accounts and tax lodgements.
- Demonstrated ability to manage capital expenditures and payroll functions.
- Excellent analytical skills with a keen eye for detail and a commitment to accuracy.
