    Randstad are delighted to have partnered up with a highly distinguished education provider, making a positive impact within the community. This is a great opportunity for an experienced business analyst to make a meaningful contribution in supporting the university's growth and supporting future projects. Located inner-city suburb of Melbourne.

    About the Opportunity

    As the Business Analyst, you will report to the Associate Director and sit under the CFO group. You will work closely with key stakeholders of key portfolios within the business to provide financial expertise and leadership to ensure the University remains financially sustainable. Your key deliverables will include but not limited to:
    • Contribute to strategic planning and achievement of business unit goals through modelling and financial analysis
    • Preparation of budgets and forecasting including variance analysis
    • Partnering with key internal stakeholders across multiple portfolios
    • Develop solutions to improve financial capability, provide trends and opportunities
    • Provide operational decision making to internal stakeholders, assist with benchmarking analysis and preparing performance reports as required
    • Identify opportunities for initiatives from insight analysis and work on initiatives around finance process, systems and data pertaining to revenue and costs

    Ideal Profile
    • CA/CPA or equivalent qualifications, coupled with experience working within a similar role
    • Experience in business case development, financial modelling, analytical research
    • Knowledge of large financial planning tools, ideally Oracle Hyperion Planning. Experience with business intelligence tools such as MicroStrategy, Power BI, tableau.
    • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to liaise and influence a range of stakeholders across all levels and develop strong working relationships
    • An ability to articulate financial data and information in a clear and concise manner
    • Experience or exposure within the higher education sector will be looked upon favorably
