Opportunity for a Building Facilities and Projects Officer to join a Local Council in Sydney's Eastern Suburbs. This is an initial 3 month contract with the possibility of extension. They want someone to start asap.

The role will manage building maintenance and services of Council properties. Oversee capital works projects to meet quality, time, and cost targets, and ensure compliance with legislation and best practices. Manage contractors and consultants effectively. Conduct regular inspections and condition assessments of property assets and ensure timely identification of maintenance and replacement needs.
Essential Criteria
- Tertiary qualifications in Building Construction, Facilities Management, or Building Asset Management.
- Extensive experience in construction project management and facilities maintenance.
- Strong background in Asset Management and sustainable building practices.
- Proven stakeholder and contractor management skills.
- High-level oral and written communication skills, including report writing.
- Effective negotiation, consultation, budget planning, and cost control skills.
- High level of computer literacy and a Class C Driver’s Licence.
