The duties of this role will include:
- Development and deployment of integrated communications plans that are nuanced to stakeholders and objectives and aligned to branding requirements.
- Writing and editing to produce simple and plain English content for use across multiple channels, including print, digital and social media, targeted to meet audience and project objectives.
- Work with the media team to plan and develop media opportunities that align with milestones and objectives identified in communication plans.
- Work collaboratively with the Communications Branch teams, providing advice, guidance and support to staff and continually seeking ways to continuously improve services and deliver innovative solutions to address identified communications needs.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships and networks with staff and key stakeholders, working in partnership to scope and deliver communication activities.
- Liaise with the Digital Services team on digital enhancements to the website and supporting pillars, including creation of new digital content that is engaging and meets user needs.
- Communication plans in place to communicate and achieve emergency response / response program objectives and activities..
- Creative and engaging communication and campaign products developed for a range of channels (e.g. multimedia assets, digital and printed materials, newsletters, podcasts, videos and case studies).
- Communication opportunities identified with insights and creativity on tactics and delivered using user insights to maximise reach and engagement.
- Any other responsibilities in line with the classification level of the role as assigned by Line Manager and/or the Department. The responsibilities as specified above may be altered in accordance with the changing requirements of the role.
What you'll need to succeed
- MUST BE A RESIDENT OF SOUTH AUSTRALIA WITH FULL WORK RIGHTS
- Previous experience in similar roles in government setting is desirable
- Demonstrate strong writing skills to deliver consistent high-quality products
- Be organized, apply attention to detail, have effective communications skills.
- Have a can-do attitude with a desire to deliver outcomes
- Work independently and manage competing deadlines autonomously
