Is a reputable professional body within the education sector. They work alongside governments, education leaders, teacher education providers and the profession to ensure quality teaching and effective school leadership is understood, valued and prioritised.

The Executive Assistant will provide a high standard of services through accurate, consistent and timely delivery of advice and support, ensuring effective operative functions for the Office of the CEO are met.

Key Deliverables

Pro-actively manage the CEOs diary effectively and efficiently in order to allow the CEO to undertake the requirements of their role.

Ensure all papers and/or briefings required for meetings are provided including scheduling adequate time for reading and review (as required)

Anticipate the demands on the CEO’s time and proactively manage commitments and diary changes, at times without consultation (demonstrating an ability to make judgements)

Act as the point of contact between the executives and internal/external stakeholders

Draft correspondence, documentation or other material as required

Assess and prioritise all incoming CEO emails, correspondence and telephone enquiries and take follow up action as appropriate ensuring CEO and organisational requirements are met.

Organise travel arrangements, meetings, seminars and other administrative requirements of the CEO

Keep the CEO and Senior Executive Team informed of all critical reporting timelines and take appropriate action as required

Co-ordinate internal leadership meetings, preparing and distributing minutes, agendas and follow up action items

Provide leadership to AITSL EA team to provide consistent and excellent services to the organisation

Proactively identify process improvements and make recommendations to and CEO as appropriate.

Reconcile monthly corporate credit card statement and process invoices on behalf of the CEO

Arrange catering and set up for onsite business lunches and events

Provide adhoc administrative support to wider leadership team as required

Work collaboratively with the Senior Management Team (SET) to ensure consistency of processes and procedures.

Foster professional business relationships with key stakeholders.

Manager relationships and liaise with executive assistants of senior management, branch heads, departmental staff and other public and private sector agencies in order to collect or impart information and arrange meetings.

Desirable Qualifications and Experience


Proven experience as an Executive Assistant (equivalent experience within the government sector or not-for-profit)

Project management experience would also be considered desirable.
