Executive Assistant

Randstad’s dedicated Government Team has been partnering with Local, State and Federal Government Departments and Authorities across Australia for over 25 years. We are proactively seeking Executive Assistant’s for upcoming short term, long term and ongoing contracts within the Brisbane CBD.

Please note this advertisement is an EOI which will be used to recruit for upcoming A03-A05 opportunities.

About the Role:

Within this role you will utilise your skills and experience gained within a similar position. You will work within a team and deliver on the following requirements of this role:

  • Secretarial and administrative support including reports, screening telephone calls, mail, diary management and general correspondence.
  • Coordinate and book all travel requirements for Corporate Management team (CTM booking system knowledge advantageous).
  • Management of mail including opening mail each morning.
  • Assistance with presentations.
  • Record management and archiving (The Source knowledge advantageous).
  • Preparing agendas and taking minutes
  • Assistance with the organisation and preparation of company functions.
  • Collating and processing stationery order.
  • Answering of incoming calls.
  • Assist executive level staff with ad hoc projects, conferences, catering and meetings.
  • Conduct yourself in such a way as to enhance the reputation and presentation of the department.

About You:

You will have a background in providing high level executive support, with the ability to think strategically whilst being able to:

  • Ability to work autonomously as well as part of a team
  • Proficient computer skills, ability to use Microsoft applications and the internet (CTM and The Source experience advantageous).
  • Ability to read and interpret relevant legislation, policies and procedures
  • High level problem solving skills
  • Excellent time management and organisational skills
  • Previous government experience highly desired
  • Experience in a similar position essential
