Purpose

I am currently seeking an experienced and exceptional Environmental, Safety and Health Coordinator with a strong WHS background to coordinate, implement and continuously improve my clietns national Safety, Health and Environmental Management systems & frameworks across all service centres.

Responsibilities

In accordance with relevant state and national legislation and across the entire organisation you will:

  • Undertake periodic Service Centre Site Safety Inspections, report, escalate and resolve SHE incidents.
  • Collate and report to top management all Safety Improvement Observations and reports ensuring the monitoring of safety lead indicators (e.g. safety training completed, audits undertaken, hazards identified and controlled).
  • Report, investigate and analyse all incidents and injuries and hazards and implement agreed control measures.
  • Monitor the legislative compliance of all Service Centres and in accordance with SHEQ Management System.
  • Conduct hazard identification and risk assessments and analysis ensuring effective controls are both documented and implemented.
  • Develop, control, maintain and review the Standard Operating Procedures.
  • Develop, control, maintain and review Service Centres WHS, Waste & Emergency Management Plans.
  • Provide advice, training and ensuring employee competency occurs at all service centres
  • Supervise a national program that will promote the health and wellbeing of staff.
  • Determine the national training needs and co-ordinate the delivery of the training program in conjunction with the Operations Manager.

In this role you will be required to work autonomously and travel interstate on a regular basis to spend time providing guidance and advice to Managers, Supervisors and front line employees in the field. You will have a diploma or higher in WH&S and a wide variety of experience within heavy industry environment
