Located in the City of Marion, Marion Outdoor Pool has stunning grassed areas, three pools, two large waterslides and new splash park features.The roleRandstad is now recruiting for both entry level and experienced swimming instructors. Marion Outdoor Pool runs a Learn to Swim program which offers swimming lessons 4 days a week for children as young as 6 months old through to adults. Successful applicants will need to be available for part/all of these lesson times.As a Swimming Instructor, you will have a desire to encourage people of all ages to learn the vital life skill of swimming. You will be energetic and enjoy working with children. Teaching swimming techniques, swimming strokes, and water safety guidelines to studentsEnhance the swimming abilities of more experienced swimmersEvaluate each swimmer’s performance and provide feedbackFacilitating the progress of students and adjusting teaching programs accordingly.Planning swimming lessons which take into account each student’s abilities and facilitate developmentMonitoring students to prevent accidents and injuries.QualificationsSwimming Instructors are required to possess all the following certificates:AUSTSWIM Certificate / Active Training: Teacher of Swimming and Water SafetyProvide CPRProvide First AidChild Related DCSI ClearanceChild Safe Environments Certificate (Responding to Abuse and Neglect)How to applyTo be successful in securing a position, you will hold all of the above certificates, or be willing to obtain copies prior to commencement.
