Working for a leading rail organistion who are responsible for delivering some of the key rail systems and systems integration packages of work on Sydney Metro we are looking for an Engineering Assurance Manager to establish, implement and maintain requirements, and Configuration and Change Management on behalf of the Integrator on Sydney Metro.

Responsibilities of the Position Include:

  • Develop and maintain System Engineering Management plans that lay out processes and requirements for Requirements, Configuration and Change Management
  • Establish and oversee the implementation of Requirements, Configuration and Change Management framework and processes
  • Oversee the development and review of Requirements, Configuration and Change Management deliverables
  • Develop and maintain a requirements database in DOORS, to capture the Scope and Performance Requirements relevant to the Integrator’s scope of work
  • Update the requirements database, at each stage of the project, recording design-stage Verification evidence and Validation evidence to ensure that compliance is effectively demonstrated.
  • Establish and maintain a valid Configuration record for the project, capturing the software versions and account for any approved changes.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders to respond to technical and non-technical related observations and queries concerning Requirements, Configuration and Change Management.
  • Oversee the cascading of project requirements to contracts and the tracking ofrequirements throughout the V-Cycle, through each project stage, through verification and validation, to ensure that requirements are successfully implemented on the project


  • Degree in a relevant engineering discipline
  • Corporate Membership of a recognized professional institution.


  • 15 years relevant experience working within a large-scale multi-disciplinary environment, with experience in System Engineering – Requirements and Configuration/ChangeManagement (ideally in a railway environment)
