This role has been created due to an influx in solar/embedded generation connection; commencing as a full-time casual opportunity. The role is expected to last a minimum of 6 months but has the option to extend based on performance and workflow.Role purposeThe Network Project Engineer/Manager will be accountable for the delivery of Embedded Generation (typically >200kW) and/or Distributed Energy Resource (DER) projects that may be complex, politically sensitive, and/or technically challenging. These projects can involve complex stakeholder management, both internal and external and can have complex technical and regulatory facets.Key objectivesProject Management of Embedded Generation (>200kW) and/or DER projects to time, cost, and quality objectives of both SA Power Networks and stakeholders;Actively build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders, by working closely with these stakeholders to ensure customer and business objectives are achieved;Ensure compliance to Regulatory Policies / Rules and customer charging guidelines;Participate effectively in meetings, discussions, decisions and support team members and management where appropriate;Provide strong customer service skills in line with business expectations;Commercially astute to ensure financial and commercial objectives are achieved; andUnderstanding of role-related risk management principles.RequirementsBachelor of Electrical Engineering1-3 years’ experience in Commercial Solar, experience in-ground mount PV systems, and battery storage highly desirableExcellent communications skillsSolid technical understanding of PV Solar and batteriesSound knowledge of instrumentation and control systems required in Solar/embedded systems.CEC Design accreditation (advantageous)Solid computer skills / tech-savvyFast learner and proficientStrong problem-solving skillsTo submit your application in strict confidence, please submit a resume to tom.kerwood@randstad.com.au.
