job description

Take this opportunity to join a firm who specialises in providing turn-key solutions to a broad range of heavy industry customers across Australia. Due to a retirement, there is a full-time opportunity for a developing Electrical Engineer based in Adelaide. Operating in a high risk working environment, this firm are proud of their strong commitment to their clients, safety and quality service delivery.

Reporting to the Principal Electrical Engineer, you will work effectively with an established electrical & controls engineering team preparing electrical designs, detailed drawings and design output documents from specifications, concepts, technical briefs, sketches and or on-site inspections and procurement of equipment and materials for full project lifeycle - concept to commissioning.

Key elements of the role:

  • Tender input and preparation
  • Responsible for the design of electrical systems and sub-systems
  • Procurement of materials and equipment to complete project
  • Responsible for the coordination of consulting engineers to carry out studies.
  • Supplier and Client Liaison
  • Perform commissioning and testing (FAT)
  • Progress reporting as required

The suitable candidate will posses the following:

  • A Degree in Electrical Engineering as a minimum
  • At least 1 years practical working experience as an electrical design engineer in heavy industry
  • Suit junior to intermediate level experience
  • EPC experience is ideal
  • A working knowledge of Australian standards
  • A positive and proactive attitude
  • A consultative approach with excellent written and communication skills
  • Have the ability to build relationships and rapport with all levels of staff and clients
  • Strong PC and computing skills (MS Office)
  • Clean C Class Licence
  • White Card
