Senior Distribution Design Engineer (Canberra, ACT)

The Position

Working in the ACT as both a design engineer and engineering mentor, you will be working on large scale electrical distribution projects and maintaining our clients customer centric philosophy. The successful candidate will be able to complete all technical tasks, provide support to peers and deliver projects in compliance with regulatory standards. Qualifications/Experience:

Degree in Electrical Engineering (preferred) or Advanced Diploma is Electrical Engineering.
Exposure to an asset intensive industry (mining, infrastructure, distribution or substations/underground networks)
Demonstrated experience in regulatory electrical distribution

Duties:

• Project documentation, design, costing and estimation
• Perform complex calculations and HV/LV drops and distribution loads
• Apply safety in design principals
• Liaise with stakeholders and government agencies
• Ensuring all work is compliant legally and within OHS principals
• Monitor projects, budgets and performance
• Provide ongoing mentorship and training to team members
