There is a full time, permanent opportunity for an Electrical Control Systems Engineer based in Adelaide. Reporting to the Engineering Manager, you will provide engineering services in the design, co-ordination & management of control systems within projects to ensure objectives are met with quality, schedule and budget. This is a broad, end to end position giving you exposure with developing quotes, designs, scope of work, specifications, configuration of PLC programming, supervising controls system implementation and commissioning.

Key elements of the role:

  • Control system design and implementation including PLC design & programming and network design
  • Preparation of scope of works, power, control and protection circuits design, FAT and SAT documentation development;
  • Providing engineering support and technical advice throughout project lifecycle
  • Ensure the delivery of control system requirements
  • Complete documentation for procurement of materials & equipment
  • Oversee manufacturing and comissioning

The suitable candidate will posses the following:

  • Tertiary qualification in Electrical or Mechatronic Engineering
  • At least several years post graduate experience in the petrochemical, oil & gas, mining, heavy industry sector
  • Demonstrated experience with PLCs
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to multi-task and work under pressure
  • Have the ability to build relationships and rapport with all levels of staff
  • Strong PC and computing skills (MS Office)
