Our client is a tier one global world-class zinc-lead mine with a long future ahead of it, located within the Gulf of Carpentaria in the Northern Territory.

We are currently seeking an experienced Electrical & Instrumentation specialist to FIFO from DARWIN to site on a FIFO 14:14 days, from Darwin.

In this capacity you will ensure that all projects are planned, maintained and delivered to business expectations to achieve shared goals across site.

Electrician and Instrumentation

  • Ensuring safe work behaviours for yourself and your fellow team
  • Well-developed interpersonal skills; and
  • Logical thinker with the ability to solve problems and have the tenacity to work until a solution is found
  • Have the ability to attend breakdowns,
  • Be prepared to work a variety of shift arrangements and flexible to change shifts when required – Current is 14/14 (days).

Skillset

  • Current Northern Territory Electrical Licence and a sound understanding of electrical legislative and safety practices;
  • Electrical (HV & LV) and Instrumentation qualifications and maintenance experience
  • HV switching qualifications and experience will be highly regarded;
  • Experience with PLC, DCS (Yokogowa preferred), power electronics, motor control protection and VSDs.
  • Understanding of network and communication systems will be advantageous.
  • Statutory compliance testing.
  • Computer literacy (Microsoft Office Suite) would be an advantage

You must be willing to undertake a pre-employment medical examination and instant drug and alcohol testing, to commence this assignment.
