    Melbourne: EL1 ASSISTANT DIRECTOR CLINICAL OPERATIONS

    ABOUT THE ROLE:

    As Assistant Director, you will oversee the provision of clinical services across the region, within a stepped-care model in collaboration with your Regional Leadership Team and reporting to the Regional Director. Duties include:

    • Ensure the delivery of high quality, cutting edge mental health interventions including counselling, group programs, peer support and care coordination
    • Line management such as recruitment, selection, induction, supervision, and performance management of clinical staff
    • Actively contribute to Open Arms National projects, clinical policies and procedures, research initiatives and Quality Assurance activities
    • Ensure all clinical work undertaken in the region is conducted in accordance with the governance requirements of Open Arms

    ABOUT YOU:

    • AASW registered Social Worker, OR AHPRA registered Psychologist, OR Mental Health Registered Nurse or Occupational Therapist
    • Extensive mental health clinical experience
    • Relevant management experience within clinical settings
    • Experience in mental health complex case management
    • Australian citizen (federal government requirement)

    THE BENEFITS:

    • $80 p/h + superannuation, paid weekly
    • Monday to Friday 9am to 5pm (37.5 hours / week) 1 year initial contract with view to extend
    • The team is “lived experience” informed and resourced
    • This role is one of two Assistant Director positions in the region, overseeing a dedicated team
