The centre

This stunning long daycare centre located in Hunters Hill caters for 40 children aged 0-5. The service is family owned and well established within the community, also exceeding the National Quality Standards it is a beautiful place for staff and children alike. They aim for excellence in their service and offer longevity to those who work there.

The role

Your role will be as the ECT Room Leader in the nursery room with the opportunity to become 2ic within the centre too.

Responsibilities with include:

  • Lead and support the programming, planning and implementation of the play based curriculum
  • Stepping into the role of 2ic when needed
  • Mentoring and supporting your team
  • Providing quality care and support to children, families and staff
  • Building strong relationships with families, carers and children

About you

You will be a confident, passionate ECT who is career driven and looking for longevity within their role, who wants to join a fantastic and supportive service and make a difference. You will have the opportunity to become a key part of this service.

You must also have the following:

  • A bachelor degree in Early Childhood Teaching OR ACECQA assessed equivalent
  • Experience in a leadership role within a childcare setting
  • An in depth knowledge of the EYLF and NQF
  • Strong programming and documentation skills
  • Excellent communication skills both written and spoken
