The Centre

  • 39 place preschool

  • Operating hours 8am – 3.30pm

  • Work closely with adjoining primary school

The Role:

We are looking for a strong Early Childhood Teacher with excellent verbal and written communication skills. You will need to be a team player and have the ambition to become room leader.

  • Join the team on a part time basis
  • Shared programming and planning
  • The current ECT works Monday, Tuesday and Friday , this position would be for Wednesday and Thursday till December 2018
  • There would be a chance to pick up other days as required
  • During the school holidays staff work one day for training

Essential for the role are the following:

  • University Diploma/Degree in Early Childhood Education (minimum 3 years)
  • Demonstrated sound understanding of the Education and Care Services National Regulations
  • Demonstrated ability of applying Child Protection Legislation and its implications for the care and protection of children.
  • A sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework.
  • Demonstrated high level of written and verbal communication skills
  • Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills with staff, children, parents and the wider community
  • Demonstrated high level of leadership skills and the ability to work co-operatively with staff
