74 Children placed centre in Port Augusta, South Australia is seeking an Educational Leader / 2ic to support the Centre Manager and team. This is a full time, permanent position.

About Port Augusta:

Port Augusta is a town of 14,000 located at the top of the Spencer Gulf and along the scenic Flinders Ranges. In your spare time enjoy all Port Augusta has to offer whether it be kayaking along the gulf, walking the bush trails of the Flinders Ranges, having a coffee at one of the many local coffee shops or taking a day trip to nearby Quorn. We are looking for an Early Childhood Teacher who has a passion for mentoring and developing staff and implementing a service program that is fun, exciting and developmentally appropriate.

In addition to the typical responsibilities of an Educational Leader, your primary role will be:

To facilitate team building and learning through coaching and mentoring, monitoring, guiding and supporting educators in the implementation of programmed activities

To motivate other team members to ensure the very best learning outcomes are achieved for the children in the service

To ensure a high-quality service is consistently maintained in all areas and aspects of the service

Evaluate programs regularly and develop systems to ensure appropriate modifications are made to meet the needs of the children, whilst also promoting continuous improvement

Manage and organise the development of the service program, monitoring the implementation of activities to ensure they are child-oriented and developmentally appropriate

Support the centre manager and lead the centre in her absence
