The centre

This beautiful purpose built long day care centre is located in Ermington and has a strong belief in sustainable practices and holistic teaching methods. They have onsite parking and a great culture. It caters for 67 children from ages 0-5. The centre has plans to rejuvante and is on track to become exceeding in its ratings.

The role

Your role will be as the Educational Leader for the centre and you will be responsible for ensuring educational programs that promote creativity, imagination, learning and development and incorporate values of sustainability.

Responsibilities with include:

  • Supporting the educators to implement the programs
  • Developing meaningful relationships with families and caregivers, ensuring you understand each child’s needs
  • Mentoring and supporting your team members to deliver the best possible outcomes for the children
  • Working closely with the passionate director to help achieve the services goals

About you

You will be a confident, passionate ECT who believes in learning and teaching for the individual child. You will have the opportunity to become and key part in shaping the future of this service.

You must also have the following:

  • A bachelor degree in Early Childhood Teaching OR ACECQA assessed equivalent
  • Ability to inspire your team and connect strongly with families and children
  • A strong believe if early years education
  • An in depth knowledge of the EYLF and NQF
  • Excellent communication skills
