Distribution Centre Team Leader

Following the addition of a Distribution Centre night shift at Salisbury we are looking for an experienced Team Leader to join the Salisbury Logistics team reporting to the Logistics Network Leader.

You will be responsible for managing all labour, plant and equipment relating to the finished goods distribution processes and will play a pivotal leadership role on site.

In this role you will be responsible for the effective delivery of:

• Compliance - Key customer contact point at the Salisbury Distribution Centre ensuring that you meet all compliance criteria for deliveries into and out of the Depots for CFS customers including: Inbound service levels, Lead times, STO Compliance, Order profile compliance, Pick, pack & despatch criteria, Pallet support and general customer warehouse receiving requirements. Previous experience in SAP, RFID, Warehouse Management Systems and any Manufacturing Excellence Programs would be beneficial but not mandatory.

• Operations – Follow-up on missed/rejected and late deliveries into customer delivery point. Ensure the returns and credits process is also initiated in a timely & effective manner. Manage and report on our logistics service providers and support POD management process.

• People – Manage a team of fulltime team members and a pool of casuals. IR experience is beneficial but not mandatory

• Financial Management – Manage labour in line with budgetary figures. Ensure Inventory Control is supported in accordance with relevant policy guidelines.

• Reporting – Daily/Weekly reporting/presentation of order fulfilment & inbound service levels and LD&D to Network Leader. Preparation & supply of various operationally based business reports to Network Leader, account teams & stakeholders including; Daily /Weekly Service Level & KPI reports, root cause and corrective action initiatives.

This role would suit an experienced people leader who enjoys achieving through others and leading people through change. Your strong focus on building capability and empowering others will be imperative as we imbed new people processes and a constructive culture onsite. Your ability to build and sustain strong relationships with both internal and external customers will be a critical success factor of this role. IR experience is beneficial but not mandatory.

Ideally you have strong business acumen coupled with FMCG manufacturing and distribution experience, as well as people leadership experience
