ABOUT THE ORGANISATION

Randstad Health, Care and Support is looking for a support worker to join a talented team at this NDIS registered organisation. Our client provides support to people with disability in independent living as well as in short-term respite accommodation, empowering them to participate in their community as well as assisting them with activities of daily life.

ABOUT THE ROLE

  • assisting as required with residents daily living activities and providing assistance or supervision as outlined in care plans
  • you could be supporting a client in their home one day or in their community participating in social activities, building life skills or just hanging out at the beach the next!
  • participating as required in domestic duties of the facility
  • ensuring that resident care, incidents and accidents are adequately documented and reported as necessary
  • assisting with medications (prescribed) and manual handling and lifting of up to 20 kgs (wheelchairs etc.) as required
  • answering all calls on the emergency call system as promptly and efficiently as possible

ABOUT YOU

  • caring and compassionate
  • Certificate III in Individual Support (Ageing, Home and Community) or similar
  • minimum 6 months experience in a similar role
  • current First Aid with CPR and NDIS Worker Orientation Module Certificate
  • current Criminal History screening (Yellow or Blue Card), or willingness to obtain one
  • valid MANUAL driver’s licence
