Randstad Education is seeking a highly motivated and professional Centre Director / Centre Manager to join the team for an established centre based at their 65 place service based in central Canberra.

Our client, a leader in early childhood education provide diverse education and care to the early childhood sector across Australia. They pride themselves but delivering a high standard of education and care to children and families, building strong relationships through an inclusive and respectful environment.

You will be required to lead an experienced team in reaching the highest quality care and education for all children and families and will also have a strong drive to excel in all areas of the EYLF and NQS frameworks, being able to use this knowledge to develop, design and implement educational programs.

Key accountabilities:

  • Build and lead a team of experienced educators to provide high quality care and education to the children
  • Drive high performance for the centre including monitoring KPI’s, P&L’s, identifying potential business opportunities to increase market share and any risks to the centre
  • Establish strong relationships with the children, their families and the local community
  • Ensuring the centre is compliant and following the NQF & EYLF

Qualifications and Education Requirements:

  • Degree or Diploma qualification in Early Childhood Education
  • First Aid Certificates
  • Working with Vulnerable Peoples Check
  • Relevant Experience

Preferred Experience, Skills and Knowledge

  • Experience in long day care as a Centre Director / Centre Manager
  • Previous experience in building a team or managing teams through change
  • Experience using QuikKids or a similar software package
  • Excellent interpersonal, organisational and time management skills with attention to detail
  • Demonstrated initiative and being able to work independently and as part of a team
  • Sound knowledge of the Early Years Learning Framework and National Quality Standards
