As an independent, non-profit organisation within healthcare, our client is looking for a Director of People and Culture to join their organisation as part of the Executive leadership team. The role will include Australia and South East Asia regions. This role will be fast-paced so not for the faint-hearted. They are a dynamic and progressive company within the health sector.

About the role

The Director of People and Culture will be part of the executive team and report to the Managing Director, while collaborating with key business leaders, internal and external stakeholders. This role is key to supporting and mentoring leaders in the organisation, as well as ensuring that human resources strategies are closely aligned with organisational objectives while delivering HR best practices and initiatives. This role presents an opportunity to provide input, coaching and mentoring, to support the day-to-day operations of the overall organisation. Your role will also require you to design, develop and implement People & Culture strategic plans from start to end that is both cost and time-efficient.

Key components will include;

  • HR Strategy, development and alignment to organisation strategy
  • Managing HR Operations including a high performing HR team of 6
  • Key leader at Executive level as a coach, mentor, support senior leaders in the organisation
  • Change Management capability to supporting change where needed in culture, structure and process and people capability, to deliver the desired business result
  • Learning & Development - develop fit for purpose initiatives at a clinical and organisational level
  • Organisational Development - focus on culture
  • Succession and organisational engagement activities - develop and drive employee engagement within the business
  • Clinical level connectedness and support
  • Supporting the organisation through the growth phase
  • Contribute to and be part of the Global HR Community - ensure that Australia and South East Asia are aligned to the global organisations' strategy and report to the Global CEO to ensure the necessary processes, and procedures are implanted across Australia and South East Asia.

About you

You are the ideal candidate for us if you are pro-choice and a champion of women’s rights. You bring a minimum of 8 years’ experience in International HR practice and therefore demonstrate a wide knowledge of international employment law globally. You have had success in implementing and executing HR strategies, refining processes and designing solutions that optimise organisational performance.

You have experience in managing and implementing change processes across different functions and have a proven ability to develop and drive employee engagement within the business. You are being recognised for your ability to build strong partnerships across the organisation. Operating at Executive level shows throughout your experience and have done this through periods of high growth and transformation. You are able to demonstrate a strong knowledge of International Mobility.

Experience of working within a health sector is essential, a big plus would be if this is in Sexual and Reproductive health.
