Director, Early Childhood, Oxley Park, Maternity Leave

An exciting opportunity has arisen to join this well respected company, there are looking for a Director to join their child care centre in Oxley Park to cover a maternity contract starting in January 2018, for around 5 months oin this 25 place centre.

This role will see you responsible for the development, planning and implementation of an appropriate educational program as well as maintaining child records and standards of health and safety. The centre follows a Reggio Emilia inspired philosophy.

My client is the third largest provider of children’s services in NSW. They provide quality education and care services to over 6,000 children each year. They’re goal of ‘nurturing confident and creative learners’ is the primary focus of all that we do across our Long Day Care, Preschool, Occasional Care, Outside School Hours Care and Integrated Child and Family Centres.

Position:

  • Teacher / Director role
  • 3 days on the floor and 2 days in the office
  • Role will be up to 18 weeks
  • Provide leadership, vision, guidance and support in the provision of a quality educational program.
  • Establish and nurture respectful relationships with children, families and staff.
  • Provide fantastic learning environments that allow children to think critically and direct their own learning
  • Continue partnerships established with local agencies and community groups
  • Ensure day to day operations: financial, HR and marketing management
  • Adhere to policies and procedures

Essential Criteria

  • We will consider a high achieving and experienced Diploma trained applicants.
  • Bachelor of Education Early Childhood
  • Previous experience as a Director
  • WWCC, First aid certificate, Asthma
  • Strong leadership skills
  • Ability to guide a diverse team in providing a quality early childhood program
  • Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.
