Director of Learning Enhancement (Senior School)

Great opportunity for a passionate and dedicated Director of Learning Enhancement to work at a great school in the Western suburbs of Melbourne. The Director of Learning Enhancement will monitor and improve the learning outcomes for the Senior School students who have been identified as requiring additional assistance/remediation in the Key Learning Areas of Literacy and Numeracy.

The Role:

  • Full Time & Ongoing position.
  • Developing and managing individual programs for the students within the school.
  • Working with classroom teachers to guide and support them through the implementation of Student Learning Plans and an ongoing case management approach.
  • Planning learning experiences to support students needing additional support.
  • Lead and assist staff in conducting assessments or standardised tests.
  • Partake in meetings, professional development where relevant.

You will have:

  • relevant and appropriate special education qualifications, particular in the area of literacy support/remediation.
  • a thorough knowledge of appropriate screening tools/standardised testing materials and their application in a secondary school context.
  • a thorough understanding of current curriculum approaches and sound teaching practices.
  • excellent communication skills and the ability to build relationships with students, families, colleagues and professionals.
