Director of Compliance

An outstanding 6 month opportunity exists to work for a global brand that is the leading global brand in their industry. This is an ideal opportunity for an experienced Legal & Compliance professional to work in a rapidly growing brand here in Australia.

As the Director of Compliance you will get involved in the following activities;

  • Help manage the compliance function and continuously improve and develop the group program
  • Developing and implement and continuously improve compliance policies, including the privacy policy, credit reporting policy, data breach policy, whistleblower policy
  • To establish and implement processes/controls for measuring the organisations compliance with the laws affecting the organisation
  • Help liaise with industry regulators including OAIC, ACCC, ASIC, CIO, AFCA, AFSA, ACMA, Austrac and AEC
  • Develop contructive relationships with industry associations including AFIA, ARCA, DGA and ADMA
  • Oversee and manage regulatory investigations in Australi and New Zealand
  • Preparation of Board and Audit Committee reporting and external regulatory reporting
  • Maintaining and administer all compliance registers
  • Review sales and marketing collateral, media releases and journal articles to ensure the commentary
  • Work with product teams to ensure new products and historical products have been and are developed in a compliant way

As the Director of Compliance - Legal and Compliance experience is essential. You will also have;

  • Strong relational skills with regulatory bodies
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications
  • 10+ years' experience in Compliance roles
  • Able to explain legal and compliance concepts in a commercial context
