We are seeking an experienced Director of Care (Aged Care) for a 6-week contract in a well-established medium sized aged care facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a dedicated clinical leader to make a meaningful impact on residents, staff, and families while ensuring the highest standards of care.
About the Role:
As the Director of Care, you will work closely with the Residential Facility Manager to oversee clinical operations, mentor staff, and ensure exceptional resident care. Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading and supporting nursing and care teams to deliver person-centered care.
- Building strong relationships with residents and their families to support their transition into aged care.
- Overseeing clinical governance, compliance, and quality assurance.
- Managing budgets and resources efficiently to ensure operational excellence.
- Implementing and refining clinical care programs to improve resident outcomes.
- Providing mentorship and development opportunities to nurses and carers.
- Oversee operations at a beautiful 110-Bed Facility on Queensland's South Coast.
About You:
To be successful in this role, you will bring:
- AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse.
- Full Australian Working Rights
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a nursing management role.
- A strong background in aged care and understanding of sector compliance requirements.
- Proven ability to manage people, budgets, and clinical operations.
- Exceptional leadership, problem-solving, and strategic thinking skills.
- A passion for mentoring and developing aged care professionals.
