job description

We are looking for an experienced centre director to join beautiful childcare centre in Regional WA. Although this is a maternity cover position there is potential for it to become more permanent. The centre has around 70 children in the long day care and after school care with 10 permanent staff and a number of reliable casuals. You will be helped in the office by the finance administration and 2IC/educational leader.

Requirements:

Diploma in children's services or higher

Experience in regulations and NQF procedure for centre based care up to 12 years

Experience in administration and staff management

Hold a certified supervisor certificate and act as the nominated supervisor in the service

The right to work in Australia

Working with children check in WA

Duties include:

Organising and supervising staff, trainees and students

Ensure regulations are adhered to

Liaise with families and outside agencies as well as with committee as appropriate

Formulate and evaluate annual budgets

Provide professional leadership and development to staff

Develop and maintain policies and procedures for the centre
