Director - Centre Manager - Bachelor qualified- Stanthorpe area

We have an extremely rare opportunity for an experienced Early Childhood Teacher to step up into a leadership position and run a beautiful 25 place centre located in Stanthorpe!

This centre is a stand-alone kindy, catering only for ages 3.5-5 years. You will be leading a small team, including a loyal Lead Educator who has been at the centre for over 10 years.

You will have fantastic work-life balance, working from 8-3pm. The centre runs to school terms, so you have full school-holidays off also.

This really is a dream opportunity for a Bachelor trained ECT to step up into management. Some management experience would be ideal, but training can be provided for those looking to step-up.

YOUR ROLE

  • The day-to-day running of the small 25 place service
  • Mentoring, coaching and working with educators to be the
  • To design, implement and evaluate programs for children, in accordance with the State-based Guidelines and Curriculum
  • Developing and maintaining open and collaborative relationships with all families
  • Encouraging and supporting parent participation within the program
  • Acting as an advocate for early childhood leadership within the service and the wider community


Through daily observations, and applying your pedagogical knowledge and expertise you will ensure the individual needs of all children are met, and they are inspired to grow and develop into lifelong learners to achieve their very best.

Requirements

  • an Early Childhood Degree or ACECQA approved equivalent
  • a current Working with Children Check or equivalent, current driver’s licence, first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and resuscitation certificate.
  • a love of early childhood education
  • experience developing portfolios for each child
  • the skills to lead other educators, motivating them to excel as they deliver care and education programs
  • a proven ability to build and nurture respectful and mutually-beneficial relationships with children and their families
  • a strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS)
