Diploma Trained Educator, Sydney, Eastwood

This 29 place child care centre have been serving the community for just over 50 years and are looking a Diploma to join their team. You will be in charge of helping to assist with the educational programme and building relationships with children and families. The centre is based on a quiet street and is an open plan environment, there are only 2 rooms and most of the time children are playing together, children are 2-5 years old in the centre.

An outdoor space with chickens, veggie patch and compost, inclusive of a sustainability programme creates a fantastic environment to be a part of. The team are really welcoming and it is a great place to work.

Educational programmes are high quality, and allow children to explore, experiment and develop their problem solving skills. The philosophy in this centre is based around focusing on the development of the individual child, so they are nurtured and a love of learning is created. School readiness is important at this age and technology is implemented by incorporating interactive white board lessons.

The Ideal Candidate

  • Knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework
  • Ability to work in a team, as it is a small close team
  • Diploma in Children’s Services
  • Current First Aid Certificate/Asthma & Anaphylaxis
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • A strong ability to inspire, motivate and maintain a positive culture with our centre
  • Current Working with Children's check
  • Knowledge and implementation of the National Quality Framework and the Early Years Learning Framework
