The Centre

This gorgeous 40 place service located in Greenacre is seeking a Diploma Trained Educator OR Early Childhood Teacher to join their team in the Nursery Room (0-2.5 years). The service prides itself on its welcoming and supportive team culture and has strong connections with the local community.

The service follows a play and interest based approach to learning and has large indoor and outdoor spaces where children are provided with the opportunity to explore and guide their own experiences. The centre is located close by to the local shops and is open Monday to Friday from 7:30am - 6:00pm.

The Role

As a Diploma Educator or ECT your responsibilities will include:

Assisting and working alongside the Room Leader to implement programming leading to successful learning outcomes for the children
Communicating positively with the children and families
Preparing, implementing and evaluating a developmentally appropriate program for individual children and groups
Being reliable, respectful and working constructively with your colleagues and other professionals
Ensuring a trusting relationship is developed with families through regular, honest and open communication regarding the care of their child
Having sound knowledge of current child care practices, the Early Years Learning Framework and the National Quality Framework

About You

To be successful in this position you must have:

A Diploma or Bachelors in Early Childhood OR ACECQA-approved equivalent qualification

Current first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) or willing to obtain
Understanding and knowledge of the EYLF and NQS
