The Centre:

The role:

  • You will design, implement and evaluate educational programs for individuals and groups of children that inspire them to investigate, create and explore.
  • You will support your team of educators in their implementation of these programs, contributing to their effective work practices and assisting them to make adaptations to meet the developmental needs of all children.
  • Have the ability to lead a team of educators, motivating them to perform at their best.
  • Have the skills to create a friendly, caring, stimulating and active learning environment.
  • Discuss programs, children’s needs, changes in routine and developmental challenges with children’s parents.
  • Drive continuous improvement in the service, and in the children.

Requirements:

  • Experience managing daily care routines and associated administrative and compliance tasks.

  • Experience maintaining health and safety and hygiene standards, and ensuring all risks are minimised.

  • A strong understanding of the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF) and National Quality Standards (NQS).

  • A Diploma in Children’s Services or similar early childhood qualification.

  • A current Working with Children Check or equivalent, current driver’s licence, first aid certificate (including asthma and anaphylactic training) and CPR certificate.
  • The skills to monitor educators’ documentation, analysis of children’s learning and participation and planning provisions.
  • The capacity to complete monthly program audits.
  • Experience ensuring all educators follow the planning cycle and can articulate the planning cycle effectively.
  • Experience leading discussion with educators to encourage reflection on the effectiveness of their programs, interactions, intentional teaching and other strategies.
  • Excellent communication skills to liaise with the centre manager to inform of audit outcomes and recommendations.
