Randstad Education is currently seeking a diploma qualified educator for a permanent full-time assistant educator position at an Early Learning Centre located in Gungahlin.

About Your New Centre

The early learning centre is operated by a co-educational independent school located in Gungahlin. The school caters for students from preschool up to Year 12, and is divided into three sub schools; Junior School, Middle School and Senior School.

The school prides itself on its innovative and creative approach to curriculum and its strong sense of community for children and students, along with their families and the staff of the school. The school has a strong link with its local church which shares facilities and resources with the school.

About Your Role

The permanent full-time position available is in a 44 place room with the 3-4 year old age group, which is split into 2 free flowing spaces with 22 children.

Your Centre's Pedagogy

The curriculum for the 3-4 year old age group incorporates enquiry play based learning and project work guided by children's interests.

Your Responsibilities

  • Provide high level support, assisting with the development and implementation of a high quality, developmentally appropriate educational program for children attending
  • Provide a healthy, safe and welcoming environment and ensure that educators are actively engaged with children at all times
  • Guide and support educators through mentoring and contributing to the professional growth of others
  • Develop and sustain strong and respectful relationships with all children
  • Establish and maintain links with both the school and local communities, and other relevant organisations
  • Ensure all practices are in accordance with the NQS and reflect the philosophy, policies and procedures of the Early Learning Centre
