At our propriety events, the content we develop and present is our product – it is the reason why our customers come to our in-person events and participate in our online community. The Event Marketing Team is seeking an experienced digital marketer to join our team. By analysing attendee behaviour and content consumption channels, the Digital Event Marketing Manager will design and develop strategic marketing campaigns using our content offering and digital marketing platforms to drive audience acquisition and engagement.

Using a variety of marketing channels including email, social media and web, the ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a highly collaborative, dynamic environment that crosses multiple marketing disciplines, including content, campaign management, data analysis, and demand generation/audience acquisition. Experience designing, setting strategies, executing, and measuring marketing campaigns for a technology audience is essential, as is a thorough understanding of existing and emerging digital marketing channels.

Events include: Flagship annual event, proprietary events, industry and partner sponsorship events and online/virtual events


  • 3+ years in marketing, marketing communications, digital marketing, social media or a related marketing field - this role essentially crosses all of these disciplines. Event experience is preferred but not required.
  • Demonstrates curiosity, creativity and proven success designing marketing campaigns that drive attendance and engagement; generate excitement and buzz; and contribute to an exceptional attendee experience.
  • Experience writing, executing and measuring marketing campaigns for a technology campaign or event audience is essential.
  • Proven success creating social media campaigns (content, graphics, etc.) that drive attendee participation and engagement

Primary Responsibilities

  • Manage the overall event communications including:
    • Event audience acquisition
    • Internal and external communication
    • Email campaigns
    • Social media plans
    • Website
    • Mobile app
    • Promotional material (including video production and broadcasting)
    • Event newsletters
  • You are the sole execution person for the above operational tactics for the delivery of the communications
  • Develop audience-specific messages and communications via all marketing channels that leverage the event offerings (content, activities, programs, etc.) to engage, inform and motivate.
  • Execute marketing campaigns that drive audience acquisition and onsite behaviour for event content programs and activities.
  • Develop and manage an audience acquisition strategy and targets to deliver revenue, including promoting to the broader Asia Pacific, Japan and China (APJC) audiences
  • Creating content that can be leveraged and localised across countries in the APJC region
  • Create social media campaigns, contests and content that drive event registration and attendee engagement.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and optimise spend and performance based on the insights and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Identify target audiences, design personas, create compelling messages and leverage content into audience appropriate digital materials (demand generation emails, website landing pages, customer journeys, webinars, live broadcasts, etc.) that engage, inform and motivate.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to execute new digital marketing campaigns leveraging channels such as web, email, paid media; and automated marketing tools and platforms such as Eloqua, BlueKai and Percolate.
  • Provide marketing analysis and reporting for the purpose of feedback and identifying opportunities for continuous improvement
  • Extremely strong creative writing and presentation skills; comfortable presenting to small groups and internal stakeholders - your ability to communicate effectively with both will be critical to your success.
  • Lead agencies and internal team members where appropriate to execute all event communication activities
  • Drive internal and external communications to raise awareness and ensure program objectives are successfully met
  • Liaison with digital, social, events, communications and other functions on the assets and format required to suit the execution of event digital content
  • Undertake digital event marketing evaluation activities to measure the content performance and analytics of a digital event marketing campaign to enable optimisation.
  • Produce and orchestrate digital event timeline and execute project deliverables to timeline
