This is a fantastic opportunity for a Design Manager to join a multi-billion dollar government rail organisation on a part time 3 day per week basis.

Based out of Central Sydney CBD you will be responsible for the providing design management services which include identifying and analysing impacts of ongoing design development work and managing the development of design documents and technical information. You will also be responsible for reviewing technical specifications and specialist technical information to ensure adherence to project requirements the ensure that designs comply with planning approvals.

To be successful in this role you must hold the relevant tertiary qualifications in either engineering or architecture and have experience in large scale railway and rail system design. You will also need to have experience in managing design teams specific to rail programs and be able to prepare detailed technical specifications for tender/contractual documents.

This role is initially a part time 3 day a week role but as the scope of works involves more design components this may change to 4 - 5 days per week. This initial 12 month contract will be paying in the vicinity of $1200 per day + super for the right person.
