ABOUT THE EMPLOYER:

Our client is an electrical transformer business with two manufacturing facilities. The business has seen exponential growth over the years, creating opportunities within the group

Primary Responsibilities:

• Assist with the design of all Transformer manufactured products
• Prepare designs for production
• Prepare technical specifications for specific products
• Ensure designs meet all the requirements of current Australian standards
• Ensure continued knowledge of all standards that apply to the manufacture of Products
• Prepare technical drawings in word and if necessary, CAD formats
• Prepare production Bills of Material
• Co-ordinate the designs with the production manager and manufacturing employees
• Prepare operation manuals and provide test reports of completed products
• Assist in continued updating of documentation and reporting for compliance with AS9001 and accreditation
• Assist with the final testing and checking of test engineers’ methods and application of test of finished products manufactured and imported.
• Develop designs from customer information and prepare quotes in line with company requirements.
• Assist the production manager with plant & equipment development and maintenance
• Liaise with customers and when directed, visit customers
• Maintaining test facility and recommend improvements with test facility
• Assist customers with technical information and provide immediate response with tenders and quotes.

Qualification & Software:

• Preferred Qualification Bachelor of Engineering Electrical or a minimum of a Electrical Diploma
• MS Excel / CAD

Experience & Salary:

• Min 2 years as an Electrical or Mechanical engineer within a manufacturing environment
• Advantage, prefer 2 years’ experience in transformer design
• Salary is highly negotiable depending on experience
• Must have Permanent Residency or Australian Citizenship
