The Role

The Design and Infrastructure Delivery Manager will manage and lead the Infrastructure Delivery Unit, this consists of design & drainage, traffic & transport, Infrastructure & parking and asset and infrastructure. They will report directly to the Infrastructure Director and will have four direct reports and 13 indirect reports.

You will act as unit head and co-ordinate the activities of the unit to ensure Council’s objectives are met. You will undertake the forward planning of the unit based upon Council’s budget and management plans. Attend special committees and management meetings as required. Ensure your staff understand their roles and have clear performance metrics which are reviewed and monitored on a regular basis. This role will initially have a strong focus on staffing resources, ensuring all teams are equipped to implement Council’s objectives and management plans.

The Person

To be successful, you will hold a relevant tertiary qualification, such as a Degree in Civil Engineering. You will hold a clean NSW Class C Driver’s license. Be a proven strong leader with the ability to motivate and inspire your staff. Have an understanding of Local Government and environmental legislation. Have excellent interpersonal skills and communication skills. Hold extensive experience in managing a diverse public engineering portfolio and leading multi disciplinary teams.
