Demand & Supply Planner

  • 3-6 Month Contract
  • Located in Ingleburn
  • Work for an Internationally Recognised Company

About The Company

Our client is internationally recognised as the largest and trusted supplier in their sector.

About the Role

Due to growth and a substantial increase in workflow, a 3-6 month contract is available for a Demand Planner, confident enough to work in an autonomous role. You will have 5-10 years experience as a Demand Planner, responsible for supply planning, purchasing, inventory management, Internal customer service and reporting.

Key areas of focus for the role includes:

Demand Planning

  • Develop 12 month rolling demand forecast by utilising company’s forecasting ERP tools.

  • Leverage forecast performance tools to measure accuracy.
  • Participate actively in the S&OP process rollout
  • Organise and lead forecast and inventory planning meetings with cross function teams
  • Analyse all data pertinent to create demand forecast according to different layers of analysis
  • Continuously maintain integrity of planning data in ERP - improve Item Masters, Supplier & Purchasing Masters

Supply Planning & Purchasing

  • Issue Purchase Orders to suppliers promptly, ensuring desired price, quality and delivery are met
  • Create and maintain good relationships with key suppliers
  • Monitor the progress of orders/shipments, both local & overseas
  • Negotiate and manage supplier pricing and rebates
  • Achieve supplier DIFOT

Inventory Management

  • Control inventory targets approved by management to guarantee the right coverage in order to avoid lost sales or over stock situations.
  • Maintain inventory accuracy by reconciling stock between company and 3PL Systems
  • Internal & External Liaison

The Successful Applicant will demonstrate the following skills and attributes:

  • Degree qualified
  • 5-10 years’ demand planning experience
  • Exposure to Sales & Operation Planning S&OP process
  • Ability to manage suppliers from multiple overseas countries
  • High level of computer literacy & excellent working knowledge of ERP system
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Detailed knowledge of supply chain management
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Good customer service skills, both internal & external
  • Ability to participate and contribute in projects in a team environment
