About the company

International Chemicals company with manufacturing sites all over the world. Specifically focusing on the mining side of the business, their is an opening for an experienced supply chain analyst to join the team in an inventory and demand planning focused role with leadership capabilities.

About the role

Reporting to the Production Manager, your role will mainly consist of gathering data for inventory, stock and demand levels for production by liaising with sales, purchasing, production teams and through the SAP system (recently activated from Excel). While it is initially a 12 month contract role, you will eventually run S&OP meetings (which hints at the strong possibility of a view for perm)


  • Coordinate demand plan in compliance with inventory targets
  • Liaising between sales teams, purchasing and production heads
  • Review sales trends and evaluate forecast results for week, month, year.
  • Optimise regional inventory levels and targets
  • Eventually facilitate S&OP meetings for all teams from your findings
  • Monitor stock regionally and define action plan on item level
  • Provide input for inventory and demand strategies

Skills & experience

  • Manufacturing production background within supply chain
  • ERP systems experience within SAP APO / R3
  • Intermediate Excel skills
  • S&OP understanding
  • Certification within business management - supply chain/logistics (Specifically planning/inventory)
  • Chemical background advantageous
  • Supply chain process principles


  • Run S&OP meetings and develop your S&OP understanding
  • Strong view to go perm (potentially within first months)
  • Flexibility to work at their Eastern site or Western site.
