Position: Data Entry Operator-Local Government Election
Duration: 2-3 Weeks (Starting Late October 2024)
Location: Melbourne Exhibition Centre
Pay Rate: $30-35 per hour + Superannuation
About the Role:
Randstad, in collaboration with the Victorian Electoral Commission, is looking for efficient and detail-oriented data entry operators to support the upcoming local council elections in October 2024. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity to be part of a significant event, with a competitive pay rate and a convenient location at the Melbourne Exhibition Centre.
The data entry operators will assist in the conduct of computer counts to determine the result of the local council elections.
Key responsibilities:
- Accurately input data.
- Process data according to VEC instructions.
- Ensure the accuracy and confidentiality of all entered data.
- Other duties as directed by the counting team leader/election manager.
- Collaborate with team members to meet data entry targets and deadlines.
Requirements:
- Proven experience in a data entry position with a minimum keystroke rate of 7,000-10,000 per hour.
- Willingness to complete an online data entry assessment.
- Willingness to undergo a police check.
- Willingness to disclose any political activities (https://www.vec.vic.gov.au/work-with-us/disclosure-of-political-activities).
- Must be available for shifts across 6 days including weekdays and Saturdays.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure and in a fast-paced environment.
