We are looking for a seasoned Technology Leader who will be required to lead a team of around 14-16 FTE’s through a direct reporting model and be able to demonstrate strong and deep experience of delivering IT value in a senior management position ideally in a regulated industry in an agile environment.

We’re looking for a candidate with significant experience of large scale customer centric technology such as Customer Websites, Digital Applications (Apps), Billing Systems or other Web-enabled Technologies. They will have worked as an IT Business Partner or similar role which interfaces with both the Business, Technology and vendors & Suppliers

Therefore strong relationship building, IT strategy & planning, Portfolio / Program delivery and financial management (budgeting) skills are required in this role.

We’re looking for someone who is able to innovate around customer technology delivery and will look at trends and new opportunities such as IoT, Blockchain, AI and RPA, work in an agile way and learn from failures quickly

You will be an excellent mentor and coach and be able to supervise and manage your team, allocate work and provide direction and support as appropriate

You will still need to be across governance, compliance and security and ensure all risks are mitigated and the business stakeholders are aware of what can and can’t be achieved through the use of innovative technology and creative solutions

You will drive innovation across the portfolio in order to improve business outcomes and deliver data integration across the core technology platforms, negotiating at a senior level around both technology and commercial issues and influencing the development and enhancement of products, systems and services.

  • Technical and Business fitness of the Technology portfolio and cost and risk
  • Lead the team that deliver the portfolio of work required
  • Responsibility of Technology budget and use innovation to extract value
  • Develop strategic partnerships with Vendors & Suppliers with focus on continuous improvement
  • Develop annual budget for new development and maintenance of systems
  • Creates team culture focused on Customer value and delivery
