About your new role

As Customer Support Officer, you will be responsible for responding to incoming customer requests received through multiple channels, including phone and email, following the Department policies to solve customer enquiries. As the first point of contact for customers, you will need to have a commitment to customer service and an ability to make quick and accurate decisions.
- Handle customer enquiries via phone and email
- Provide site navigation and troubleshooting advice for both user and system errors
- Locate relevant information quickly and accurately from provided resources
- Triaging and escalating enquiries to other teams when required
- Execute data entry with attention to detail and accuracy
- Maintain efficiency standards and meet set KPIs
What you will need
The Customer Support Officers are often the first point of contact for the Department. It is essential that you enjoy providing a high level of customer service treating customers with honesty, fairness, sensitivity and dignity.
- Excellent communication (written & verbal)
- Exceptional customer service manner
- Extensive problem solving and analytical skills
- Willingness to help, assist and take ownership of problems where required
- Proactive attitude to team collaboration, support and documentation
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Ability providing high quality friendly customer service
- Ability to work well under pressure
The role will be based in Parramatta office for 2 days per and 3 days form home.
