Randstad is proud to be partnering with a government department to recruit multiple positions in customer service and payroll. Suitable candidates will have a background knowledge in finance or payroll, along with previous phone based customer service experience. We are looking for a reliable, organised and experienced candidate available for a January start.

The 3 roles available are at an AO5 level, paying around $47/hour + super.

About the roles:

  • Answer phone calls from customers regarding all queries and issues within the scope of the helpdesk
  • Helping select and offer pay benefits for rural teachers
  • Resolving general questions in regards to different pay benefits
  • Assisting customers with troubleshooting questions
  • Assisting with the website and portal for around 550 employees
  • Creating spreadsheets for employee payments and benefits
  • Processing payments and chasing payments

About you:

  • Demonstrated customer service experience
  • Strong communication skills – particularly via phone communication
  • Ability to create and work with spreadsheets – exporting and creating lists
  • Background knowledge of finance; including internal interaction for payments, chasing payments, understanding back end processing
  • General knowledge in government payroll processes
  • SAP experience preferred
  • Attention to detail
