CUSTOMER ACCOUNT MANAGER

As a proactive sales professional, you will have the opportunity to become part of our progressive, successful business that operates across foodservice and retail. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, this role is responsible for managing and growing existing business and developing new business across key channels within a defined territory.

It is essential that you possess the ability to build and manage an operational call cycle and maximise infield effectiveness to deliver on business objectives.
You will have a passion for or background in foodservice, health care, age care, hospitality or similar channels. Ideally you have proven success in customer management, territory management and a proven record of success within a competitive distribution model, preferably within the Foodservice/Food and Beverage FMCG environment. A key focus of this role will be to drive the innovative meal solutions range.

Responsibilities:

  • Build and manage an effective sales and territory plan
  • Secure increased usage, ranging and distribution across all accounts and customers
  • Actively pursue new customers and business opportunities within the nominated territory and as directed
  • Weekly reporting of customer service and contact management via CRM
  • Participation in exhibitions, tradeshows and ‘cook ups’

  • First-rate planning and organisational skills – you'll use your time well and take pride in delivering
  • Problem solving – you'll view problems as opportunities and enjoy taking a creative and fresh approach
  • Good computer skills
  • Sound numeracy and literacy skills

This is a fast paced and dynamic role where you will need to work autonomously but also engage as a passionate and enthusiastic team member. You will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a proven ability to develop and maintain relationships both internally and externally. You will be a skilled negotiator with an in-depth understanding of the customer, wholesale and retail environments.
