As a Credit Officer, you will be responsible for managing the entire credit and collections process from start to finish. Your role will be crucial in maintaining our cash flow and fostering positive relationships with our clients.

Reporting to the Finance Manager, duties will include:
- End-to-End Collections Management: Oversee the full cycle of collections, including invoice generation, follow-up, payment processing, and account reconciliation.
- Credit Assessment: Evaluate and approve credit applications, assess the creditworthiness of new and existing customers, and establish appropriate credit limits and terms.
- Invoicing: Ensure accurate and timely invoicing to clients, addressing any discrepancies or issues promptly.
- Collections Follow-Up: Proactively follow up on overdue accounts, send reminders, and negotiate payment plans as necessary.
- Payment Processing: Verify and process incoming payments, ensuring accurate application to customer accounts.
- Record Keeping: Maintain detailed and accurate records of all credit transactions, payment history, and account status.
- Dispute Resolution: Handle and resolve any disputes or issues related to invoices and payments efficiently.
- Reporting: Prepare and provide regular reports on accounts receivable, including aging reports and collection metrics to management.
About you:
- Proven experience as a Credit Officer or in a similar role with a focus on collections.
- Strong understanding of credit management principles and end-to-end collections processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
- Ability to handle multiple tasks and work under pressure.
- Strong attention to detail and organisational skills.
