job description

Want to join a happy, high performing team where you can continue to grow and learn from the best? This major bank is well known for its success with its customers, employee engagement and social responsibility and as a result of promotions an excellent opportunity has arisen for a Senior Credit Analyst (SA level) to join its Corporates team.

Reporting to the Associate Director, the Senior Associate will be a key senior member of the team that provides credit analysis, deal execution and portfolio risk management functions and support to the Client Coverage Corporate Banking team across a range of industries and all aspects of portfolio management and the client relationship. Furthermore, you’ll have an opportunity to build on your existing credit/analytical skills and client relationship skills, and play a key role in driving superior client outcomes and delivering world class client relationships.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Structuring transactions and preparing credit submissions, employing financial modelling where required and making recommendations on transactions to credit;
  • Driving transactions forward whilst engaging multiple stakeholders including Client Coverage Team, Portfolio, Product Partners and client support teams, to achieve a seamless client experience;
  • Being responsible for managing the ongoing monitoring of the risk profile and compliance requirements of a client portfolio, ensuring portfolio hygiene is a good standard;
  • Conducting research and analysis to develop industry/sector expertise and knowledge;
  • Attending internal and external stakeholders meetings to support business outcomes while managing portfolio risks;
  • Providing guidance/coaching to graduates, interns and analysts.

With advanced credit and modelling skills, you will have a natural ability to engage and influence your stakeholders and an aptitude to coach and grow those around you; you will be passionate about this sector and its contribution to the bank's success. You will be independent and competent at structuring and writing credit papers and taking them right through to final submission, with knowledge of cash flow lending, structured, leveraged or acquisition finance and all the related legal documentation and T&Cs a big advantage. Ultimately you will have good commercial acumen and will thrive most when working as part of a happy, collaborative team.

This role will give you exposure to a wide range of stakeholders at all levels of the business whilst being part of a team that is focused, smart, hardworking and passionate about our shared vision to create the very best experience for our customers.

As the successful applicant you'll be rewarded with a structured career path within Corporate Finance or the broader business that offers a competitive market salary, annual performance incentives, and a flexible working environment.
