Full Description

One of Australia’s leading importers of food and delicacies is rapidly expanding and currently hiring a Shipping Coordinator for its beautiful Banksmeadow office in Sydney. Your role is to ensure that security procedures are followed and the whole import process runs smoothly. You will be responsible for liaising nationally with freight and transport company stakeholders and coordinating shipment activities. You will be part of a friendly and down to earth team of 3 who will provide ongoing support and intensive training to get you up and running for the job. There is a defined career path here for the successful candidate to step up and progress internally.

In this role you will:

  • Liaise daily with Sydney and Melbourne warehouses, suppliers, freight forwarders and transport companies
  • Plan & coordinate shipments
  • Daily booking of container time slots
  • Follow up with suppliers to confirm receipt of purchase orders

Ideally you will have:

  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Administration, Customer Service, understanding of import/export/logistics industry
  • The ability to use your initiative, work autonomously and troubleshoot where necessary
  • Prefer experience using ERP
