job description

Monitor all students in Years 7 – 12 identified as requiring extension and/or enrichment through:

  • Communication with staff
  • Classroom visits
  • Individual or group instruction
  • Documentation of progress
  • Communication with parents
  • Assisting with transition
  • Completing, recommending and/or interpreting testing
  • Liaison with external professionals and internal specialists

Develop capacity of staff to meet the needs of identified students in Years 7 – 12 through:

  • Delivery of professional learning
  • Collaborative meetings
  • One on one discussions
  • Classroom visits
  • Circulation of readings and information

Oversee all enrichment and extension policies and programs for students in Year 7 – 12 by:

  • establishing, developing, evaluating, monitoring and documenting relevant policies, programs and practices ensuring that these are consistent with overall school policies and practices and taking into account developments within the School and in the wider educational community
  • promoting and coordinating student participation in enrichment programs

Support the Senior School Leadership Team by:

  • working with the Leadership Team to lead staff effectively, including assistance with recruitment, staff selection, induction and the provision of feedback which assists their professional development.
  • providing advice on the allocation of resources (human, physical and financial) including preparation and management of annual budgets relating to the Extension and Enrichment Programs
  • organising appropriate representation of the Centre for Differentiation at school functions
    and in the wider community as necessary.
  • ensuring that all data required by external bodies in regard to funding and compliance
    matters are managed effectively.
  • providing advice to the Curriculum Committee as required
  • assisting with the transition of new students and of Year 7 Students

Complete administration associated with students in Years 7 – 12 identified with specific learning needs through:

  • Completion of funding accountability processes
  • Organisation and communication of special arrangements
  • Completion of compliance requirements
